*Hon. Mickey Edwards, Former Member of Congress (R-Okla.)*

Director, Aspen Institute-Rodel Fellowships in Public Leadership; 
Lecturer of Public & International Affairs, Woodrow Wilson School, 
Princeton.

Former Congressman Edwards served in Congress from 1977 - 1992, where he 
was a member of the House Republican leadership and served on the Budget 
and Appropriations committees.  He was a founder of the Heritage 
Foundation and is a former chair of the American Conservative Union.  
For 11 years, he taught at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government.  He 
now directs the Aspen Institute's Rodel Fellowships in Public Leadership 
program and teaches at Princeton's Woodrow Wilson School.  He has a new 
book -- _Reclaiming Conservatism_ -- coming out in March.  He is a 
regular NPR commentator. He will talk about how policy is made in 
Washington, the degree to which scientific evidence is considered in 
decision-making, and the competing factors that elected officials weigh.

Charles Enderlin, veteran journalist and author of Shattered Dreams, 
will join us at the Penn Bookstore Wednesday, January 16 at 7:00 p.m. to 
discuss his new book, The Lost Years: Radical Islam, Intifada, and Wars 
in the Middle East 2001-2006.

Molly Allen Associates is seeking college students and recent college graduates for part-time campaign finance internships. Responsibilities will include assisting with research, event planning, database management, and administrative tasks. The internship will also include the potential to staff and/or attend DC-area fundraising events. Interns will have the opportunity to interact with Members of Congress.

Candidates must be self-starters, detail-oriented, have excellent writing and communication skills, and be able to multi-task.  Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel is required; knowledge of Microsoft Access preferred.  Hill or campaign experience is a plus but not required.

Internships will take place in three sessions: winter/spring (starting immediately), summer and fall. A minimum commitment of six hours per week is required. The internships are unpaid; however, this an excellent opportunity for students interested in political campaigns, particularly campaign finance. We are committed to providing our interns with a valuable learning experience and will assist with petitions for academic credit as well as adjust the duration of an internship session to comply with respective academic calendars.Please send resume, cover letter and availability to
